Urban Regeneration Strategic Program for North Braga Area

Program drawn up in accordance with the legal framework for urban regeneration (Law No. 32/2012), implied the definition of an Urban Regeneration Area (URA) in the north side of Braga and the development of their Urban Regeneration Operation (URO).

The urban strategy for the North Braga area rests on the need to organize an qualify an urban expansion area of the city, deeply marked by a group os cultural and sportive assets.

This program also set the base lines for the Urban Regeneration Operation, as well as its model of execution, management and financing model.

Strategic Urban Development Plan for Porto

The SUDP supports a coherent set of interventions in the city of Porto, within the framework of the urban development objectives of Portugal 2020 and the Europe 2020 strategy, in order to respond to the main challenges of sustainable urban development.

This action program, to be implemented by 2023, integrates projects in the areas of urban rehabilitation, sustainable urban mobility and the inclusion of disadvantaged communities.

Overall, the Porto SUDP gives priority to the requalification of the central zone of the city, focusing on the control of the congestion effects induced by the tourist and real estate dynamics of the last years, and the full territorial, social and economic integration of the eastern zone-Vale de Campanhã in the city.

Targets for the outcomes of the plan were defined at two levels: increasing the satisfaction of residents and diminishing GHG emissions in the city.

Plano Estratégico de Desenvolvimento Urbano (PEDU) de Mangualde

The SUDP is a new political instrument for urban development funding. It supports a coherent set of interventions in the city within the framework of the urban development objectives of Portugal 2020 and the Europe 2020 strategy, in order to respond to the main challenges of sustainable urban development.

The action program was driven by Quaternaire Portugal team, with the partnership of Adquadratum Arquitectos, Lda. and Câmara Municipal de Mangualde teams. It aims to implement, until 2013, a set of projects in the areas of urban rehabilitation, sustainable urban mobility and the inclusion of disadvantaged communities.

In its main areas of action, the SUDP for Mangualde gives priority to the mobility themes and public transports, the public spaces requalification and the renewal of some urban central commodities (example of the Cine-Teatro de Mangualde), but also the social and physic intervention of Bairro Nossa Senhora do Castelo (social housing estate).

In line with the rules of this urban politic program, targets for the outcomes of the plan were defined at two levels:
