The project aimed at designing and organizing training activities directed to health professionals. The training courses sought answering to the strategic lines of the national health policy in the field of obesity and was based on the Benchmark Training developed by Quaternaire for ACSS in the field of obesity. That referential was developed in accordance with the recommendations made by the Coordination Platform against Obesity.

In general the training project presented took over as top priorities:

i) Strengthening of primary prevention, enabling different health professionals to promote preventive behaviors and to better control the emergence of risk factors.

ii) ensure greater efficiency in the diagnosis, strengthening in particular its precocity but also enabling a better response when the diagnosis is made in a more advanced state;

iii) to help improving the quality of treatment and monitoring of disease progression, updating knowledge and disseminating new clinical approaches.
