The Partnership Agreement Portugal 2020, among other policy instruments, presented the instrument ITI - Integrated Territorial Investment, prepared and operated within the NUTS III territories in which the Intermunicipal Communities (CIM) are in place. The CIM have been invited to elaborate Integrated Territorial Development Strategies (EIDT) to be assessed at national level, targeted at supporting strategically the Action Plans 2014-2020 for these territories, negotiated and at the end contratualised with each Regional Operational Programme and eventually with other national authorities. The team of Quaternaire Portugal worked in the elaboration of the EIDT and Action Plan for the NUTS III Alentejo central in strict cooperation with the working group selected by the CIM Alentejo central (CIMAC) in collaboration with the Regional Development Agency ADRAL. The work done by Quaternaire Portugal encompassed a diversified set of technical deliverables, involving the four domains of the EIDT and Action Plan for the Alentejo Central: firms competitiveness, employment and internationalisation; development and upgrading of the capabilities of local institutions; organisation and enhancement of the territory and social cohesion and quality life conditions.
