Comparative analysis of four alternatives for locating a multimodal logistics platform, hinged to the Port of Figueira da Foz.

The study uses two types of criteria, one of internal nature (related to the specific features of each alternative) and the other external (related to its territorial and infrastructural integration in local and regional systems), combined through a methodology that appraises alternatives to the development of the commercial port. The proposed location, taking into account the more realistic scenario of evolution, consists in the construction of the platform in an area adjacent to the existing business park.

This platform integrates a cross-border logistics network between the regions of Centro Portugal and Castile and León, Spain.
