The advice service that Quaternaire Portugal provided to Turismo do Alentejo, E. R. T. concerned about the idea and

design of Immaterial Cultural Heritage touristic promotion and strengthening. After the conclusion of these preparatory studies, Turismo do Alentejo will prepare a funding application to submit for Programa Operacional Regional do Alentejo 2020.

Alentejo e Ribatejo regions, which are covered by Turismo do Alentejo action, keep important Cultural Immaterial Heritage. One part of this Cultural Immaterial Heritage is already inscribed in UNESCO Lists (Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity and List of Intangible Cultural Heritage in Need of Urgent Safeguarding), but there are another elements that are in process of application development and submission.

Turismo do Alentejo aims to promote a new combined project for the touristic boosting of Immaterial Cultural Heritage that can promote touristic products and experiences which can strength, in this touristic destination, a more qualified and distinguished cultural touristic offer.

Quaternaire Portugal already has a large knowledge about those regions heritage and about their touristic Dynamics and trends. Thereby, Quaternaire Portugal developed a rational proposal for a new concept of a directory of Immaterial Cultural Heritage-based touristic experiences in Alentejo e Ribatejo. Aside the main ideas of the new concept of touristic product / sightseeing, Quaternaire Portugal set the elementary principles for the touristic experiences Framework implementation, on those regions, and also its operational plan. Those components, about idea and design of new Immaterial Cultural Heritage-based touristic product and experiences, will enable Turismo do Alentejo to submit an application form for European Funds (Portugal 2020 / Alentejo 2020).
