Diagnostic study of drug dependence in the municipality of Trofa

The Diagnostic study of addiction in the municipality of Trofa presents:  i) the socio-economic characterization, working on indicators of demographic trends, social evolution, family structures and skills, employment and productive activities; (ii) the characterization of policies, guidelines and results in terms of fight against drugs and addiction at community and national level, completed with a survey of the available interventions at national and regional level and in the municipality of Trofa, involving primary, secondary and tertiary prevention and working quantitative data on the access of drug dependents to the several typologies of services; (iii) a SWOT oriented strategic synthesis of the municipality of Trofa in terms of addiction. The diagnostic study led to a set of development strategies to tackle the problematic of drugs and addiction in the municipality of Trofa, in which some success critical factors are emphasized, within the framework of objectives, strategic options and intervention axis. The report presents a group of actions to be implemented which are a relevant source for elaborating an Action Plan against drugs and addiction in Trofa, in line with the European and national correlated strategies and with the National and European Action Plans.
