Régua Strategic Plan

The Strategic Plan of the Peso da Régua municipality is the result of a participated discussion and commitment between the municipality and other local agents, leading to a document that will be the framework of the medium and long term development of the municipality, focused on the period 2007-2015. The work has been done along the year of 2007, supported by a two hand methodology: (i) the mobilization of local actors, enhancing their vision of the municipality development and progressively building consensus and commitments; (ii) the use of more traditional methodologies of analysis and synthesis. Our team has animated a vast and diverse number of work meetings, discussion panels, elaborated synthesis reports, carried out surveys to local institutions, population and visitors /tourists and analyzed statistical and qualitative data.  The result was a global report presenting the Vision shared by the local community (political, social, economic and citizenship-oriented), materialized in 22 key interventions /priority projects. The Strategic Plan also presents a group of organizational and governance conditions to help and facilitate the Plan implementation..
