North of Portugal Inter-regional and transnational cooperation strategy

The study aims to support a turning point in the inter-regional and transnational cooperation strategy developed by the  CCDR-N. It encompasses: i) the presentation of the methodology, emphasizing the survey directed to regional actors leading cooperation projects; ii) a survey about the European guidelines concerning the links of cooperation with competitiveness and cohesion policies; iii) the strategic evaluation of the cooperation potential achieved in previous programming periods; iv) the strategic prerequisites of cooperation targeted at internationalization goals, within the strategic framework established by the CCDR-N for the next programming period  v) the cooperation strategic framework: strategic vision; cooperation mission; strategic priorities; action priorities; typologies of projects; institutional leverage; funding guidelines. The study is also supported by a benchmarking analysis, focused in cooperation strategies led by European regions seen as strategic to the North of Portugal.
