Famalicão Strategic Plan

This is a Strategic Plan targeted to reconsider the competitive role of the city and municipality of V.N de Famalicão, considering its integration in the AVE NUTS III and in the Porto metropolitan region. The strategic analysis is summarized through a SWOT and scenario planning analysis, stressing the nain issues that will mark the territory evolving trends. In parallel, the uncertainty variables are selected and the developmnet critical factors identified, building a vision for the municipality through the discussion of extreme scenarios. Based on the scenario (centred Famalicão) the study proposed some key interventions involving the territorial enhancement, the qualification of human resources and social development, the productive dynamics,  innovation, culture and leisure activities. The work is completed with the identification of organizational consequences generated in the future by the implementation of the Strategic Plan in the municipality internal activity and with a tendering strategy to the NRSF 2007-2013 funding opportunities.
