Valimar Sectorial Tourism Action Plan

The Action Plan aimed to elaborate a planning orientation for the sustainability of tourism sector in the Valimar territory (municipalities of Arcos de Valdevez, Caminha, Esposende, Ponte da Barca, Ponte de Lima and Viana do Castelo). A prospective analysis of the territory has been elaborated, focusing in particular the assessment of the regional resources and tourism products. A mission and a strategic vision have been formulated for tourism in Valimar territory, generating a global presentation of strategic and operational objectives, completed with goals and indicators. The implementation of the strategy has been organized through three Intervention Programmes and three strategic dimensions, presented by levels of priority; development of tourism; promotion; investment priorities. A vast set of actions covering each strategic dimension complete the report, that  also presents a proposal of an institutional model for organizating touring in the Valimar territory.  .
