Advice of the QP to the Parish Council of Santa Maria Maior for the design of a project to be submitted to the North 2020 program with the objetive of:

• Diversify the tourist offer and promote, in the Historic Center of Chaves, an accessible tourism associated with the cultural authenticity of the city and the surrounding territory, creating new reasons, forms and cycles of tourist visits;

• Make available to tourists, visitors and residents the possibility of having unique and memorable experiences;

• To preserve, recover and value spaces of socialization in the Historic Center of Chaves that favor the creation of an urban atmosphere appealing to residents, tourists and visitors;

• To consolidate and broaden the scope of intervention of the Parish Council of Santa Maria Maior and the various partner entities in carrying out this project, thus contributing to the construction of a more inclusive, more supportive and valued community of local resources;

• To mobilize local agents and entities to promote activities and create partnerships; • To foster articulation and integration in local and regional development strategies for the benefit of local communities.

• To make available to the general public the hidden riches (in the sense of not accessible and not decoded) of the city of Chaves that accumulated a great density and historical stratification, with testimonies of cultural diversity and of political and military relevance.
