The study proposes a joint investment plan for the transborder territory of Galicia and North of Portugal to be submitted to the Territorial Cooperation Programme Spain-Portugal, in the perspective of the Euro-region urban system, represented by the Association of Cities Eixo Atlântico. It encompasses a prospective diagnosis of the Euro-region and its urban system for the period 2014-2020, analyses how the 11 Europe 2020 thematic objectives may be mobilised by the Euro-region and proposes a territorial development strategy to which the territorial cooperation programme should have a contribution in coherence with other programming instruments such as the Regional Operational Programmes.

The study also presents detailed information focused on how the Euro-region can mobilise other european funding resources.
