Under the coordination of Professor Luís Dominguez, charged of the Jean Monnet Chair at Vigo University, the team of Quaternaire Portugal has been charged of the socio-economic study of the Galicia-North of Portugal trans-border territories, integrated in the study of all the Iberian trans-border regions and shared with a group of researchers of the Universities of Valladolid, Salamanca, Extremadura and Algarve and of the Polytechnic Institute of Guarda. The study encompasses a vast battery of indicators characterizing the trans-border spaces, presenting an integrated perspective of these territories and of their evolution in the two last decades and proposing strategic guidelines for the 2014-2020 programming period. The study will be published by the Iberian Network of Trans-border Regions.
