The Municipality of Amarante intends to create a business location area for public promotion in a space initially planned for industrial location, but deactivated. The land, currently privately owned, is located in one of the accesses to the IP4 highway (Porto-Vila Real-Bragança). In order to justify the decision to acquire the land and develop the project, the Municipality, through its Invest Amarante unit, decided to carry out a technical feasibility analysis, assisted by Quaternaire Portugal, which focused on the following vectors: adequacy of location, access and dimension of the area in the context of the regional territory and the Territorial Management Instruments; environmental framework; optimisation of the layout of the area; assessment of the feasibility and cost of carrying out urbanisation and infrastructure works.
